As an Executive Producer for Sage Productions, I wrote and produced television shows, series, and specials for The Travel Channel, Home and Garden Television, and Country Music Television. The Travel Channel: On Vacation with the Vacation StoreConceived as a system for re-inventing how the travel industry conducts business, The Vacation Store was a start-up entity that showcased the world's most fabulous vacation destinations and then offered viewers a chance to book their dream trips by calling into a 24-hour call center. My job was to write and produce the on-location and on-site segments that bridged the gap between programming and commercials. I wrote and produced 39 shows that ran over three seasons and generated millions of dollars of revenue. I also got to travel to exotic destinations with talent and camera crew in tow. Home and Garden Television: Dream House / Extreme GaragesMy foray into the world of architecture and design began by producing a show called “Dream House” for Home and Garden Television. The show became the network’s first prime-time, reality-based hit and led to a contract to produce seven more series of the show. Here’s a few of my faves: I also wrote and produced a one hour special on the most amazing garages you’ve ever seen in your life. This show allowed me to combine my passion for automobiles with my interest in architecture and design. Country Music Television: CMT Ultimate Home / Star PadsCMT entered into the lucrative programming niche of home improvement by hiring my production company to produce two seasons of CMT’s Ultimate Home and high-budget programming that paired musical recording artists with designers who performed home makeovers. Another contract resulted in Star Pads, one-off of artists offering video tours of their private homes.
